For those interested in Skyward Sword details you can check out some new information from the latest issue of Nintendo Power. Some may consider this information to be in spoiler territory, so I have placed the details after the jump. These details come from an interview with Eiji Aonuma found in the latest issue of Nintendo Power, read the rest to get the scoop:
- Skyward Sword is being polished meaning it's in the finishing stages
- Story surrounds the creation of the Master Sword and how Link helps forge the legendary blade
- Zelda and Link are childhood friends
- Zelda not a princess in the traditional sense, and as we see in the trailer she is taken away and Link must save her
- Link uses a harp in Skyward Sword, gamers will have to strum along with the rhythm
- Not everything is fully orchestrated, some tracks are indeed synthesized using the Wii
- Lord Ghirahim is a contrast to Ganon and isn't related to Vaati from Minish Cap
- Story takes place before Ocarina of Time
- No Ganon in Skyward Sword
- Characters with Link during the bird races are part of a knight academy. Link is a member of this academy. This is a school like environment, a first for Skyward Sword
- Link's bird will be used to race, access the world below and other islands and areas floating above the clouds as well
- Longest and deepest Zelda adventure to date
Additional Zelda Info:
- Eiji Aonuma interested in a Zelda movie given the right amount of time and resources
- Distinguishing Zelda on Wii U from handheld entries will be challenging
- Developers do not want to be limited to one art style
- Eiji Aonuma loves the functionality of the Wii U controller
- Majora's Mask getting a 3DS remake is a definite possibility, especially if the fans want to play the game again!
