Paid DLC Coming to Wii U and 3DS

Satorua Iwata revealed that Paid Downloadable Content (DLC) will be coming to both the Wii U and 3DS during a Q&A session at Nintendo's financial briefing. It sounds like a system is being prepared to make transactions for paid content and that it will be available for 3DS developers by the end of the year. Nintendo themselves expressed interest in paid DLC content, but will be selective in its use. Nintendo is interested in things like extra stages and features that gamers want, but not low quality things; stat boosts for example.

I am all for paid DLC coming to Wii U and 3DS, especially with Nintendo games. I envision new worlds for Super Mario Bros. games and new quests for Zelda games. Of course there is also the ability to release new characters for Super Smash Bros. after the fact. Is this something that you would be interested in seeing from Nintendo?
