Monster Hunter 3G 3DS Confirmed for Nintendo 3DS

On the heels of the new circle pad attachment, Famitsu has also revealed the first details for the new Monster Hunter 3G 3D game. It is essentially Monster Hunter 3, but it will be an expanded version. It will retain the water elements from the Wii title and will also include local wireless play. Gameplay in the water has been adjusted to also include the touch screen. Tapping the screen will instantly turn your character to face an enemy, ultimately making the battle easier. A beast called the Blakidio will also be in the game.

Japan is slated to get the title at the end of the year. I'm willing to bet that the 3DS version will release stateside in 2012.
